Three viral targets (Influenza A, RSV A and Adenovirus) were amplified in a triplex reaction using Lyo-Ready Direct RNA/DNA qPCR Saliva in lyophilized format ( red ) or Reliance One-Step Multiplex RT-qPCR Supermix ( purple ) or TaqPath ™ DuraPlex ™ 1-Step RT-qPCR Master Mix ( black ) in the presence of 50% UTM swab (UTM dipped with artificial sputum swab). The results illustrate that dry Lyo-Ready Direct RNA/DNA qPCR Saliva has higher multiplexing capabilities, inhibitor tolerance and better reproducibility than other supplier’s inhibitor tolerant mixes.

Lyo-Ready AOF dUTP DNA qPCR Saliva in liquid (blue) and lyophilized (red) format was compared in the ability to amplify a 10-fold synthetic DNA target (1,000, 100, 10 and 1 copies respectively) in the presence of 20% artificial sputum. The results illustrate that the lyophilized mix maintains the same high application efficiency as the liquid mix, with high sensitivity and reproducibility. A) Lyo-Ready AOF dUTP DNA qPCR Saliva was used to amplify a 10-fold serial dilution of synthetic DNA target (10,000, 1,000, 100, 10, and 1 copy, respectively) in the presence of 20% artificial sputum and B) Lyo-Ready AOF dUTP RNA/DNA qPCR Saliva was used to amplify a 10-fold serial dilution of synthetic RNA target (10,000, 1,000, 100 and 10 copies, respectively) in the presence of 5% artificial sputum, in liquid (blue) and lyophilized (red) format. The results illustrate that the lyophilized mixes maintain the same high application efficiency as the liquid mix, with high sensitivity and reproducibility.
