早期检测是癌症诊断的关键,早期诊断可以提高癌 症治愈率和/或存活率。但是,管理和治疗癌症的 相关费用的经济负担也越来越重。无创技术如血清 免疫检测特异肿瘤标志物减少疾病筛查和监测的相 关费用是人们所热切追求的。这些标志物能实现快 速、经济和即时的癌症检测,并为医师提供有价值 的帮助以提高患者的生活质量。 癌症标志物 (也叫作肿瘤标志物)是肿瘤自身或 机体对癌症产生反应生成的蛋白质。它们可以分为 4组:(1)筛查和早期检测;(2)诊断确认; (3)治疗反应和预后预测;(4)监测疾病复发。 在过去的十年间,对癌变和肿瘤进展理解的加深揭 示了大量的潜在肿瘤标志物。一些标志物仅仅与一 些类型的癌症有关,但是其他的可能与2种或更多 的癌症类型有关,“通用”的能检测一切癌症的肿 瘤标志物至今未被发现。
