Manufactured under ISO13485: 2018 quality management system, Meridian’s oligos are supplied globally in dry format and benefits from state- of-the-art purification and analytical technologies such as ESI-MS, UPLC, CGE, and UV spectroscopy. Quenchers which are commonly used in association with fluorescent dyes in molecular assays, are substances capable of quenching the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent dye. Normally, for optimal performance, the quencher should be carefully selected or matched to the reporter dye emission spectrum as closely as possible. Some of these quenchers and fluorescent dyes on the market are patented and licences are required to use them in commercial assays, affecting not only affordability of such oligonucleotides but also the profitability of the commercial assay itself. Meridian’s Chamel ™ Q is a single unique universal quencher substituting for other quenchers including BHQ ™ s (Black Hole Quenchers 1, 2 and 3) as it can be used with all common fluorescent dyes, quenching fluorescence emitted from 500 nm to 750 nm.

Oligonucleotide Quality Control
High quality and purity Manufactured in ISO 13485:2018 compliant labs, with full traceability, our oligos are produced using the latest advances in oligos synthesis and purification technologies, resulting in very high quality. ESI-MS (electrospray ionization mass spectrometry) is used to measure and control the molecular weight of the sequence and determine if there are any by-products. Purity is then verified using ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) that separates oligos to a single-base resolution and capillary gel electrophoresis (CGE). This information is reported in the CoA provided with the oligo at delivery.
At the foundation of our manufacturing processes is a robust Quality Management System (QMS), driving quality assurance.
